Laptop Cover

A few months back I got a new laptop...

mainly because my old one was destroyed by a little man.

I didn't have a cover of the laptop

but didn't want to purchase a plain ol' black one.

So what does a crafty lady do???

MAKE HER OWN!!

Now this is not a tutorial by any means...

just a little bit on how i created my cover!

First I measured the width, length and depth of the laptop...

decided I would use some scraps I had from Wyatt's quilt

pieced them together

ironed a piece of fusible fleece to the back...

attached a piece of knit fabric (Rst)

and then stitched 3 sides together

flipped it right side out

covered the raw edge with some cute binding

folded right sides together

stitched the bottom edge and one long side

inverted and

shzam!!! a new laptop cover!

Again not the hardest project in the book

but definitely a cute one!!

Hairbows, Hairbows, and more hairbows!!!

Now most of you know I don't have a little girl.  My precious little one is ALL BOY!  Tough and rough are the words most used to describe him but I do have a few little girls (like 10) on my shopping list.  Since the majority of them aren't able to read or if they can their Aunt's blog is not on the top of their list I decided to share a few of my gifts early. 

I have made hairbows for most of them.  They are simple bows made out of ribbon, clips, buttons, and hot glue.  Nothing fancy just simple and cute gifts for the darling little girls in my family.  I have also made a hairbow holder for my youngest niece.  Below are pictures of the creations. 

I've FINISHED!!!!

Ok so some weeks ago I mentioned that I had started crochecting a scarf. Well now I have officially finished! It is not a very wide scarf however it is just right for me. I am now working on my next projects for Christmas. Hopefully I can finish them all in time! Below are some pictures of the finished product.

Susan my gracious model shows how easy the scraf is to wear! This was a great first project. Simple stitches made it easy for me to complete. Great beginner project!
